The importance of atmospheric monitoring in Cherenkov experiments
Abstract
A review is presented of Monte Carlo simulations of the effects of differing atmospheric structure and absorption models on the Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescope signal. Methods of monitoring the atmosphere are discussed.
